Reconstructing the Past

Viking at work

Meet the Vikings at Viking Unst!

During the summer real "Vikings" can be found at the Skidbladner Longship.

With their special brand of Living History Keith Prosser and Tony Sherratt entertain all comers. Plenty of hands-on activities provide fun for all the family!

You can try your hand at a range of Viking crafts from spinning and weaving to drilling wood and carving in stone! Find out how the Vikings made use of the landscape and resources around them to go about their daily lives. Learn more about Viking ships and warfare with examples of armour and weaponry. Keith and Tony are ready to answer your questions and can hold children and adults alike spellbound!

See What's On for dates and times.
